Our school offers our Senior students some wonderful learning and development opportunities through our Post-School Options which engages students with programs in the community. This term our students are attending Sailability program at Burnett Heads. Sailability is a community based organisation run by volunteers who aim to give people with disabilities the opportunity to realise their dreams by achieving freedom on the water sailing 'access' dinghies.
It was perfect weather with sunshine and just the right amount of wind. During our first sailing experience the students overcame some of their fears and participated even getting the chance to steer the boats. Their faces beamed with delight and sense of achievement.
