Year 10 VET students have harvested the fruits of their labour. It has been 20 weeks since they planted onion seeds in seedling trays, prepared garden beds, planted out seedlings, mulched, weeded, fertilized and kept the water up to their crop. Students have been responsible for individual growing areas and have taken pride in maintaining their garden plot. There were some very big smiles, proud gardeners and a bit of healthy competition as they harvested their bumper crop. It is safe to say the kitchen should have onions for quite some time
