Parents are required to contact the school on the day of absence and provide a reason for their child's absence. This can be done by either phoning the school office on 41555222 or emailing absences@bundabergspecs.eq.edu.au.
Please provide student name, reason and length of absence. Where prolonged absence is anticipated, early notification would be appreciated.
Parents of students who travel to school by school transport (disability transport assistance) must also inform the transport provider that their child will not be at school for the period of absence.
Collecting children during school time
No child is permitted to leave the school grounds without a note or phone call from their parents/guardian or when under teacher direction. If you need to collect your child prior to the end of the school day, please check them out via the office, so that their absence is accounted for.
On occasions when someone different will be collecting your child from school, you must send a note or notify the office.
