In our first meeting for 2023 we had a catch up with all the exciting things that are in the pipework for our school. One project will be to plant some bush tucker trees and plants in the bushland area at the back of the school. The school is currently working on acquiring 4 long poles to turn into memory poles that will be put into the ground near the yarning circle.   The yarning circle (pictured) was established in the bushland beside the hall in 2021.  Educational Indigenous artist Pam Croft is going to work with the students to paint the memory poles. She is also going to design some signs for incorporating the 4 totem animals of the local traditional owners Taribelang Bunda, Gooreng Gooreng, Gurang, and Bailai. These animal totems will also be assigned to the 4 sectors of the school (Junior, Primary, Secondary and Senior).
