Welcome to Bundaberg Special School.

At Bundaberg Special School, every student is valued, respected, and supported to reach their full potential. Guided by our school motto “Building Futures Together", we are a vibrant and inclusive learning community dedicated to providing high-quality, individualised education for students with intellectual disabilities and a range of other disabilities.

Our dedicated team of teachers, support staff, therapists, and health professionals work closely together to design and deliver personalised learning programs that meet each student's unique strengths, needs, and aspirations. We focus on developing functional academic skills, communication, independence, social-emotional wellbeing, and daily living skills in a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment.

We pride ourselves on our specialised health support and collaborative partnerships with families, allied health services, and the wider Bundaberg community. Together, we create meaningful learning opportunities that empower our students to grow, thrive, and participate as active and valued members of society.

Whether your child is just starting their educational journey with us or transitioning into our school, you will find a caring and committed team ready to partner with you every step of the way. We believe that strong family-school partnerships are the foundation of student success.

Thank you for visiting our website. I invite you to explore the many ways we celebrate learning, achievement, and inclusion at Bundaberg Special School. We look forward to welcoming you and your family into our school community.

Warm regards,

Lee-Ann King

Principal
