People with a chronic medical condition may be able to get Medicare benefits to cover allied health services that help manage their condition. If you need treatment from 2 or more health professionals, your doctor may also put a Team Care Arrangements Plan in place for you.
A person with a chronic or terminal medical condition and complex care needs, requiring care from a multidisciplinary team, can have a GPMP and Team Care Arrangements (TCAs).
Eligible patients can claim a maximum of 5 allied health services per calendar year.
