Students in Prep – Year 10 participate in a Health and Wellbeing lesson once per fortnight as a component of their Specialist Program. Content comes HPE units of work from the Australian Curriculum and specialised focus lessons from the Daniel Morcombe Foundation -child safety lessons.

Topics covered over a three year period include:

•              Growing and Changing

•              Safety and Wellbeing

•              Healthy choices

•              Safety in the community

•              Play for wellness

•              Exploring culture

In 2023, Senior students who attend the Specialist program began focusing on learning how to administer basic first aid and how to respond in emergency situations.

This is a requirement for senior students as recommended by the P-12 Curriculum, assessment and reporting framework.

The Health and Wellbeing team focuses on providing a safe and supported classroom environment where new learning can be explored and practiced to build real life awareness and skills.
