Health and Wellbeing

​Students in participate in a Health and Wellbeing lesson once per fortnight as a component of their Specialist Program. Content comes HPE units of work from the Australian Curriculum and specialised focus lessons from the Daniel Morcombe Foundation -child safety lessons.

Topics covered over a three year period include:

•              Growing and Changing

•              Safety and Wellbeing

•              Healthy choices

•              Safety in the community

•              Play for wellness

•              Exploring culture

Over a 2-year cycle, Senior students will have the opportunity to engage with basic first aide components and responding in an emergency situation including CPR. First Aid certificates are not obtained through this program.

The Health and Wellbeing team focuses on providing a safe and supported classroom environment where new learning can be explored and practiced to build real life awareness and skills.​​
