Students in Prep – Year 10 participate in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, The Arts and Mathematics) lesson once per fortnight as a component of their Specialist Program. Content comes from the Australian Curriculum with the specific focus on technology.
Topics covered over a three year period include:
• Magnificent machines
• Sustainable food practices
• Making and designing
• Digital systems
• The changing earth
• ICT 101
The introduction of the STEAM program has allowed students to use technology to explore and develop their problem solving skills in real life scenarios.
