The Bundaberg Special School has a dedicated team of teachers and teacher aides committed to providing learning experiences that build futures for our students through a curriculum that is designed to build and broaden knowledge and understanding of the world in which they live and interact.  We believe that every student has the capability to learn.  The curriculum is differentiated to meet the unique learning needs of individual students.
Student learning is centered around content from the Australian Curriculum across a broad range of learning areas including English, Mathematics, Science, History, Geography, The Arts, Technology, Languages and Health and Physical Education.  Literacy, numeracy, ICT learning is core business and is embedded within all units of work in addition to regular focused learning episodes.
Our purpose is to achieve the best educational outcomes for each student by:
        The provision of a challenging, and rich curriculum
        Fostering a safe, secure and supportive environment
        Providing access to and supportive participation in relevant, quality,
          inclusive programs
        Facilitating student independence and interdependence
        Designing curriculum that is locally relevant for our students
The Bundaberg Special School is organised into four sectors.  Each sector represents a unique phase of learning for students. Our sectors are
Junior: Prep -Year 3
Primary: Year 4 - Year 6
Secondary:  Year 7 - Year 9
Senior:  Year 10 - Year 12
